My Goals for 2016

Published: 1st January, 2016

It’s that time of year again… ‘New Year, New Me’ and for us all to set ourselves some goals for the upcoming year. So here are the goals I have set myself to accomplish this year.

Goal 1 — Refine my brand

Goal 2 — Gain more knowledge about Web Design and Development

Goal 3 — Read more mooks

Goal 4 — Lose weight

All of my goals are easily measureable in whether I have achieved them.

Have you set any goals for this year? If you have be sure to let me know in the comments below.

I would like to quickly thank all of you that take the time to read my blog posts and follow the other work I do and all the support you have given me. Here’s to another awesome year!

Update:

Throughout 2016 I’ve been working on the New Year Resolutions I set myself at the end of 2015. Looking back at my goals I’ve actually achieved most of them which is fantastic.

The first goal of mine was to refine my brand. All my outstanding projects from 2015 were completed and case studies were written for those. I re-designed my portfolio website which now showcases all my projects, blog post and videos. I aimed to publish a blog post once a month which unfortunately I didn’t manage to do but some months I did publish more than one blog post. This year, I wrote a total of 16 blog posts, produced 14 videos on my personal channel and 11 videos on my Web Design channel STWebDesigner.

My second goal was to gain more knowledge about Web Design and Development. Through my University course, reading articles and watching videos on YouTube I do think I’ve improved my knowledge as I’ve learnt to code in different programming languages (PHP and MySQL), found new tools to improve my design process and improved on existing skills.

My third goals was a goal transferred across from 2015 as I didn’t achieve it in that year. The goal was to read more books. I actually achieved it, in fact I smashed this goal. I read a total of 6 books. These were:

My final goal was to lose weight which again I didn’t not manage to do which is a little disappointing.
